Associates Patrick T. Campbell and Kathryn M. Zunno are serving as Co-Chairs for the Federal Bar Council’s First Decade Committee Atlantic City Trip, which includes two CLE programs, a cocktail reception with craps lessons, a group breakfast with the General Counsel of Revel Casino Hotel, and other opportunities for networking. The event takes place from Friday evening, June 13, to Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2014, and is open to attorneys in their first 10 years of practice.
The CLE program entitled, “Mastering the Deposition: Strategies and Best Practices,” will be led by David J. Sheehan, Esq., BakerHostetler; Laura B. Hoguet, Esq., Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney LLP; and James M. Wicks, Esq., St. John’s Law School, Farrell Fritz, P.C. The program explores the fundamentals of what it takes to master a deposition, including how to maximize your preparation, listen effectively, and elicit the most helpful information possible, including from uncooperative witnesses. Using the wealth of experience from the panelists, attendees will be exposed to some of the information necessary to secure favorable results for clients.
The second CLE program entitled, “Your Myers Briggs Personality Type: How Self-Understanding Can Inform Leadership and Advocacy,” will be presented by John DiPippa, Former Dean of the Arkansas Law School. The program involves each participant taking the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test and exploring how personality type and individual cognitive styles inform communications, leadership, and advocacy. The MBTI is a powerful and accessible way for people to understand their individual cognitive styles and can provide a vocabulary in which people can identify, discuss, and develop their communication and interpersonal styles.
Register online by Friday, May 23.
