Poe Leggette Discusses BLM's Final Rule on Hydraulic Fracturing With Environmental Law Institute

The October issue of Environmental Law Institute’s (ELI) News and Analysis includes a transcript from a May 28 panel discussion sponsored by ELI in which Partner Poe Leggette participated as a panelist. The topic was the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) final rule regulating hydraulic fracturing on federal and Indian lands. Leggette, co-leader of BakerHostetler’s Energy team and former Assistant Solicitor in the Energy and Resources Division of the Department of the Interior, is co-leading the litigation team representing the Independent Petroleum Association of America and Western Energy Alliance in their opposition to the rule. On September 30, the rule was stayed by the U.S. District Court of Wyoming.
