Alexis’s depth of experience includes representing clients in all manner of in-court and out-of-court insolvency proceedings, including representing clients in chapter 11, chapter 7 and subchapter V bankruptcy cases, federal and state court insolvency-related litigation (including fraudulent transfer and breach of fiduciary duty litigation), state court receiverships, UCC Article 9 transactions, assignment for the benefit of creditor (ABC) transactions, distressed debt finance transactions and distressed sale transactions. She also frequently partners with clients to proactively develop global restructuring plans or mitigate exposure to insolvent and distressed counterparties.

<li>Represents a bankruptcy trustee in the unwinding of a complex $200 million financial fraud scheme involving more than 5,000 victims. Representation includes more than 100 cases involving fraudulent transfer and state law claims, litigation against the debtor&#8217;s secured lenders demanding the return of hundreds of millions of dollars, and administration of more than 5,000 claims.</li>
<li>Represents a national retailer in the bankruptcy cases of two large grocery chains, including negotiating payment of pre- and post-petition consignment proceeds of more than $2 million in product held in stores.</li>
<li>Represents a national bank in complex commercial workout matters, including matters involving prepaid bank card products.</li>
<li>Served as lead restructuring counsel for a nonprofit in its merger with a similarly missioned distressed nonprofit. Representation involved evaluating in-court versus out-of-court restructuring options and advising on the merger vehicle that best limited exposure of healthy endowment assets.</li>
<li>Represented an official committee of administrative creditors in the Chapter 11 case of a large integrated steel manufacturer.</li>
<li>Represented a manufacturing company in its purchase of assets of a debtor in bankruptcy on an expedited basis.</li>
<li>Represented a window manufacturing company in its acquisition of secured debt and the subsequent acquisition and sale of distressed assets through an out-of-court Article 9 sale process.</li>
<li>Represented a buyout fund in its acquisition of secured debt and the subsequent acquisition of distressed aerospace assets through an out-of-court Article 9 sale process.</li>
