Andrew Samuels is an intellectual property litigator whose experience spans patent, trade secret, trademark and copyright litigation at the trial and appellate levels.
Andrew’s crisp legal writing and oral advocacy have led to favorable results early in litigation. In patent litigation, Andrew was the primary drafter of a motion to dismiss that invalidated 85 patent claims across four patents, resulting in a 2024 American Lawyer Litigator of the Week “Shout-out.” In trade secret litigation, Andrew has drafted and argued multiple temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction motions that have effectively resolved cases in his clients' favor.
In 2025, Andrew has been recognized by Managing IP as a “Rising Star,” by The Best Lawyers in America® as “One to Watch” and by the IAM Patent 1000 as “Recommended.”
Beyond his IP litigation practice, Andrew serves on the Columbus office recruiting committee and as the writing advisor for the Columbus office summer associate program.
