Kelly Frechette is an associate in BakerHostetler’s Commercial Litigation team whose practice focuses on internal investigations, white collar and regulatory matters, complex commercial litigation, and unfair competition and intellectual property disputes.
Kelly helps companies, officers, and directors navigate some of their most sensitive legal and business challenges, from internal and government investigations to high-stakes litigation. Her investigations experience includes matters involving compliance and business conduct issues, where she works closely with clients to uncover facts, assess risk, and develop practical strategies for addressing legal, operational, and reputational concerns. She has experience managing complex factual investigations, preparing fact and corporate witnesses, and identifying the key facts within extensive records to provide strategic, actionable recommendations for clients.
Kelly also represents clients in commercial disputes, including matters involving unfair competition, false advertising, trademark and brand protection, misappropriation of trade secrets, and other claims arising under the Lanham Act and related state laws. She has experience guiding clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigations and case assessment through discovery, case-dispositive briefing, and trial preparation.
Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Kelly worked as a consultant, giving her firsthand insight into the business and operational considerations that often shape investigations and commercial disputes. She draws on that experience, together with her research, writing and advocacy skills, to help clients navigate complex legal, regulatory and business challenges.
