The Antitrust and Competition team’s clients span the globe, and we routinely represent international companies in proceedings both within and outside the U.S., as cross-border investigations, litigation and transactions become increasingly common. Our team has decades of experience in representing corporations and individuals in complex, global antitrust cartel investigations and litigation worldwide. This includes high-stakes matters involving dawn raids, broad investigations and multijurisdictional actions requiring a global defense strategy. We have successfully represented clients in investigations and related litigation initiated by federal and state government enforcers around the world, including the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) (civil/criminal), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), State Attorneys General, foreign enforcement authorities (including government enforcers in Asia, Europe, South America, Australia and North America) and private actions.

In addition, as cross-border transactions face increasing scrutiny both in the U.S. and from foreign authorities, our team works closely with local counsel around the world to address the most challenging multinational antitrust issues. We coordinate global clearances and oversee filing and compliance issues involving national security, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and foreign investment review regulations. We closely collaborate with our BakerHostetler colleagues in nationally ranked practice areas, including International Trade, Mergers and Acquisitions and National Security.
