In the event of a privacy or security incident, Jacob is well prepared to assist clients in investigating and mitigating the incident and responding to regulatory inquiries. He also has extensive experience advising clients on the privacy and security risks associated with commercial relationships by developing robust contractual terms and assessing the risks associated with mergers and acquisitions. He routinely advises clients on their obligations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other laws.
