Business, technology&nbsp;and technology law all change rapidly, and Jacob is at the forefront of these changes. He routinely counsels clients on a wide range of emerging issues across domains such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, privacy by design, critical infrastructure, medical devices, health privacy, children’s privacy, biometric privacy, international data transfers, incident preparedness, national security and IT, OT&nbsp;and product security.

A focus of Jacob’s practice is proactive cybersecurity counseling. He helps clients comply with existing privacy and security laws, regulations and industry standards and counsels them on how new and upcoming security requirements will affect their businesses, products and customers. He also has extensive experience advising clients on the privacy and security risks associated with commercial relationships by developing robust contractual terms and assessing the risks associated with mergers and acquisitions. In the event of a privacy or security incident, Jacob is well prepared to assist clients in investigating and mitigating the incident and responding to regulatory inquiries.
