Jeremy Dunnaback approaches client matters with the preparation, judgment and adaptability he developed as an Infantry officer in the U.S. Army. He concentrates on commercial litigation and class action defense and is regularly called upon to handle legal issues in an array of cases, including financial services, breach of contract and fiduciary duty, securities, data breach and misappropriation.   • Represented manufacturer in international Lanham Act and misappropriation litigation brought against manufacturer’s former distributor and executives.

Class Action Defense

  • Defended international hospitality company as part of a core team defending against dozens of class actions and other lawsuits in multidistrict litigation stemming from alleged data breach.
  • Defended former utility executive accused of public corruption in multiple securities class actions and derivative litigations.
  • Defended against ERISA class action alleging financial institution breached its fiduciary duties in connection with its 401(k) plan by offering a proprietary fund and charging excessive recordkeeping fees. Fund claims were dismissed on Rule 12 motion and fee claims were voluntarily dismissed.

  • Represented global manufacturer in multiple Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) internal investigations.

Pro Bono

  • Defended multiple clients facing felony charges in Cleveland and Chicago. Part of defense team that persuaded Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office to dismiss felony assault charge against client based on lack of evidence.
  • Defended client in matter contesting requirement to register under Ohio’s Violent Offender Database law. Court ruled that client was not subject to registration.
  • Led federal civil rights litigation on behalf of inmate seeking redress for First Amendment violation.
