Overview

Enlisting an extensive technical background, Scott Simpkins handles intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution for companies in industries such as mechanical design, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications, as well as other technical fields. As a law clerk in the District of Delaware, home to one of the most active patent case dockets in the nation, Scott helped resolve numerous motions, giving him insight to address clients’ intellectual property needs.

Before pursuing a career in law, Scott worked directly with other engineers to generate solutions to complex problems. His diverse experience includes serving as a software engineer on digital communications programs and working for a range of companies in the polymer industry. Scott's design, development, and manufacturing knowledge enable him to better understand industry-specific needs and to counsel small companies and prominent corporations on a variety of intellectual property matters.
