Sherman Helenese brings a wealth of privacy, licensing and technology transactions experience to the Digital Assets and Data Management Group. His practice exclusively focuses on complex matters associated with the intersection of technology transactions and privacy. He advises a number of ecommerce, retail, software and blockchain companies on a variety of licensing, technology transaction and privacy related matters. Sherman’s previous in-house experience at Microsoft lends to his customer-friendly and practical approach to resolving complex client issues.

  • Advises ecommerce, retail, software and blockchain clients on a variety of U.S. state, federal and international consumer privacy law compliance issues (e.g. CCPA, CPRA, COPPA, CPA, CTDPA, GDPR, UK GDPR, Standard Contractual Clauses, Data Processing Agreements, privacy by design, global product launches, product reviews, privacy and security assessments, data mapping and the creation and maintenance of a privacy program).
  • Successfully drafts and negotiates a wide variety of complex (inbound and outbound) cloud services agreements, end user license agreements, data processing agreements, joint development agreements, master services and licensing agreements and other similar arrangements.
