Partners Artie McConnell and Jennifer Solari co-authored an article for the Summer 2026 issue of Criminal Justice Magazine, published by the American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section. Titled “CIPA: How Classified Information Impacts Timing, Discovery and Trial Strategy,” the article discusses how the Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA) was until recently only used in a handful of national security prosecutions. However, it is now more common in other criminal cases, such as sanctions and tariff evasion, export controls offenses, narcotics, trafficking and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, adding a new level of complexity to proceedings as far as if/when classified information can be used.
