Partner Ted Jacobs served as a dialogue leader for the in-person session of The Sedona Conference Institute’s “2026 eDiscovery Negotiation Training: Practical Cooperative Strategies,” which took place online Jan. 21, 2026, and in New York, New York, Feb. 4-5, 2026. The program allows participants to
conduct mock discovery negotiations and Rule 16(b) conferences, with real-time feedback and guidance
from a broad array of dialogue leaders, including practitioners and judges. Jacobs also led a plenary session on how to conduct a Rule 26(f) conference on preservation, scope of discovery and form of production. Revamped from prior years, the program took into consideration the evolving landscape of pretrial litigation and the impact of technology, including artificial intelligence, on the practice of law. Participants learned to negotiate effectively with opposing counsel to ensure efficient, cost-effective fact-finding while avoiding unnecessary disputes.
