Teresa Goody Guillén commented on the Terraform fraud case in a Law360 article titled “5 Things to Know as SEC Takes Terraform Fraud Case to Trial.” Published March 22, 2024, the article discusses the upcoming suit and the central question of whether Terraform deceived investors prior to the collapse that set off the “crypto winter,” when cataclysmic losses for multiple crypto firms led to a wave of bankruptcies. Goody Guillén stated that the trial could provide more insight into what sorts of statements amount to defrauding investors, both in the crypto world and beyond.
