Congress returns for its last stretch of legislation before the year’s end, focusing on aid to Israel and Ukraine, border security, and the annual defense policy bill.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee will hold an oversight hearing with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), while Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Rohit Chopra will testify in both chambers.

President Joe Biden will travel to Georgia and Colorado and participate in the National Christmas Tree Lighting.

The House will be in <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">session</a> tomorrow through Friday, and <a href="https://punchbowl.news/archive/112723-punchbowl-news-am/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">may vote</a> to expel Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.).

Thursday, the Energy and Commerce Communications Subcommittee will hold an oversight <a href="https://energycommerce.house.gov/posts/chairs-rodgers-and-latta-announce-fcc-oversight-hearing" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> with the FCC.

Also Thursday, the Science, Space, and Technology Committee will hold a <a href="https://science.house.gov/2023/11/full-committee-hearing-the-role-of-federal-research-in-establishing-a-robust-u-s-supply-chain-of-critical-minerals-and-materials" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> on the critical mineral supply chain.

The Senate will be in <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">session</a> throughout the week, continuing <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/executive_calendar/xcalv.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">work</a> on Biden’s judicial nominees.

Wednesday, the Foreign Relations Committee will receive a <a href="https://www.foreign.senate.gov/hearings/assessing-the-us-prc-relationship-after-apec" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">closed briefing</a> following Biden’s meeting with China’s Xi Jinping earlier this month in San Francisco.

Thursday, the Senate Banking Committee will <a href="https://www.banking.senate.gov/hearings/11/20/2023/the-consumer-financial-protection-bureaus-semi-annual-report-to-congress?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=11/27/23%20%20Punchbowl%20News%20AM&utm_term=Punchbowl%20AM%20and%20Active%20Subscribers%20from%20Memberful%20Combined" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">receive</a> the semi-annual report of Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Rohit Chopra, after Chopra <a href="https://financialservices.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=409053&utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=11/27/23%20%20Punchbowl%20News%20AM&utm_term=Punchbowl%20AM%20and%20Active%20Subscribers%20from%20Memberful%20Combined" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">testifies</a> at the House Financial Services Committee Wednesday.

Tomorrow, Biden will <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rosalynn-carter-tribute-service-georgia-joe-biden-jill-biden-to-attend/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">travel</a> to Atlanta for a tribute service for former First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

Wednesday, the president will head to Colorado to tour a wind energy manufacturer and <a href="https://www.kktv.com/2023/11/26/president-joe-biden-visit-pueblo-wednesday/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">promote</a> his “Bidenomics” agenda.

Thursday, Biden will <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/11/26/statement-from-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-on-the-visit-of-president-joao-manuel-goncalves-lourenco-of-angola/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">host</a> President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço of Angola at the White House, and <a href="https://www.thenationaltree.org/ceremony/2023-national-christmas-tree-lighting-ceremony/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">participate</a> in the National Christmas Tree Lighting.
