President Joe Biden will deliver the State of the Union address Thursday.

Lawmakers are <a href="https://punchbowl.news/archive/3424-punchbowl-news-am/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">working</a> to pass a package of six annual appropriations bills before Friday’s new deadline after last week’s short-term punt.

Voters in 16 states will cast ballots in Super Tuesday <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/03/politics/what-to-know-super-tuesday-what-matters/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">primaries</a>, likely solidifying the presidential race between Biden and Donald Trump.

The House will hold floor <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">votes</a> tomorrow through Friday, with plans to vote Wednesday on the funding <a href="https://appropriations.house.gov/first-fy24-consolidated-appropriations-act" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">package</a> – a test for Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La.

The Financial Services Committee on Wednesday will <a href="https://financialservices.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=409159" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">host</a> Federal Reserve Chair Jay Powell, who will deliver the Fed’s semiannual monetary policy report.   

Also Wednesday, the Science, Space, and Technology Environment Subcommittee will hold a <a href="https://science.house.gov/2024/3/environment-subcommittee-hearing-winning-in-weather-u-s-competitiveness-in-forecasting-and-modeling" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> on weather forecasting and modeling.

The Senate will be in <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">session</a> tomorrow through Friday, also taking up the Consolidated Appropriations Act.

The Commerce Committee on Wednesday will receive <a href="https://www.commerce.senate.gov/2024/3/national-transportation-safety-board-investigations-report" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">testimony</a> from National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chair Jennifer Homendy regarding the NTSB Investigations Report.

Powell will <a href="https://www.banking.senate.gov/hearings/02/29/2024/the-semiannual-monetary-policy-report-to-the-congress" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">deliver</a> the Fed’s semiannual report to the Senate Banking Committee Thursday.

Tomorrow, Biden will host a meeting of his <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/competition/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Competition Council</a> at the White House.

The president will deliver the <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/blog/2024/02/28/how-to-watch-president-bidens-2024-state-of-the-union-address/">State of the Un</a><a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/blog/2024/02/28/how-to-watch-president-bidens-2024-state-of-the-union-address/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">i</a><a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/blog/2024/02/28/how-to-watch-president-bidens-2024-state-of-the-union-address/">on address</a> Thursday.

Friday, he will <a href="https://www.forth.news/whpool/65e52d584aecb98bcec1588b" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">attend</a> a campaign event in Philadelphia, followed by another in Atlanta Saturday.
