Partners Artie McConnell, Carlos Ortiz and Lana Muranovic co-authored an article for The Global Trade Law Journal titled “White House Increases Scrutiny on Foreign Investors: Why FOCI is a Concern for International Businesses.” Published in the July-August 2025 issue, the article defines foreign ownership, control and influence (FOCI) issues and describes the February 21, 2025, “America First Investment Policy” Memorandum that announced several broad FOCI-based initiatives.
