Alex Obrecht presented on “New BLM Oil and Gas Regulations, A Drag on Public Land Development?” on Oct. 14, 2016, at the University of Wyoming Landscape Discussion on Energy Law and Policy in the Rockies. The presentation was part of a panel discussion on “Public Land States in the 21st Century.” Obrecht outlined the federal regulatory initiatives facing the oil and gas industry and how those initiatives may hamper the development of public resources to the detriment of federal and state coffers.
