Emani is skilled at working on employment disputes such as workplace discrimination, hostile work environment, harassment and retaliation claims arising under federal law (ADA, ADEA, PWFA, FMLA, Title VII, Section 1983 and WARN Act) and state and local equivalents (e.g., the Texas Labor Code and Texas Commission on Human Rights Act). This includes claims filed through government agencies like the Texas Workforce Commission and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also handled pre-litigation claims regarding breach of employment agreements, including covenants not to compete and non-solicitation agreements, as well as tortious interference with contracts and civil conspiracy arbitration claims.

Emani’s previous experience as a legal assistant and paralegal molded her ability to excel in high-stake environments and polished her interpersonal skills, multicaseload management abilities and analyzation acuity.

<li>Spearheaded the responses to three substantial Requests for Information from the EEOC on behalf of a large corporate client, coordinating with in-house counsel for document production and subsequent analysis, along with drafting persuasive, comprehensive written responses, ultimately securing the client’s desired outcome for all three Requests with the EEOC deciding to not pursue further investigations into the former employees&#8217; claims.</li>
<li>Conducted comprehensive legal research and case law analysis to support the drafting of an Emergency Motion to Dissolve Temporary Restraining Order requiring former employee’s immediate reinstatement, and a subsequent Response in Opposition to Plaintiff’s Application for Temporary Injunction, assisting the supervising Partner during oral arguments in court as co-counsel, leading to favorable rulings on both motions.</li>
