Jonathan New is a seasoned trial lawyer and white collar criminal defense attorney who represents clients in high-stakes civil, regulatory and criminal investigations and litigation, with a particular focus on cross-border government investigations. He is regularly engaged by corporations, directors and officers to advise and defend in matters involving complex financial instruments, accounting and securities law issues, insider trading, anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, FCPA compliance, asset forfeiture and cybercrime.
Before entering private practice, Jonathan served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Division.
