Allison maintains a special interest in working with educational institutions and has extensive experience advising educational clients on the intersection between the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and state privacy laws. She has advised clients on a&nbsp;wide variety of data security incidents, ranging from complex ransomware attacks to employee snooping and data theft. In the event of an incident, she provides clients with the proper services and tools to effectively respond to the incident, including coordinating data forensics experts and insurance professionals, preparing consumer and regulatory notification communications, ensuring fulfillment of statutory obligations&nbsp;and responding to enforcement actions.

Prior to focusing on cybersecurity, Allison worked as a civil litigator, gaining experience in all aspects of active litigation with a specialization in cybersecurity, commercial law, products liability&nbsp;and personal injury matters. She has also litigated, arbitrated and tried high-value cases involving the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA), banking, injury to land, professional liability and contract disputes.
